Hometown: Ridgefield, Connecticut

Why did you choose UChicago?
I loved campus and the people I met and overnighted with. I was drawn to the academic focus and potential to balance that with athletics.

Favorite moment of your UChicago athletic career?
Soccer: Traveling to North Carolina my first year for the national championship weekend.
Track & Field: Any cool-down run at an away meet where we explore the area!

Favorite team tradition/activity?
Soccer: Team bonding activities in preseason - senior skit, going to point, scav hunt, all incredibly fun.
Track & Field: Making (or running through) the collective whoosh sound for the last curve of the 4x400-meter relay indoor.

What made you fall in love with your sport originally?
Soccer: How much fun I had running around and falling down with my friends in some of my first games.
Track & Field: Running with my family when I was small in town 5Ks.

What lessons have you learned through competing in your sport that have stuck with you?
Soccer: Braving ft. Brene Brown.
Track & Field: That even when you feel like you're going to die, you can indeed run a few more steps (unless you literally fall down).

What advice would you give to your first-year teammates?
Take advantage of people you meet and opportunities you get.

Favorite UChicago class that you learned the most from and why?
Power - sosc was by far my favorite sequence. Both the readings and discussion were really illuminating and it was really cool to hear others perspectives of economic, political, and social issues of the current day through the lens of (generally) older readings.

Favorite thing to do in the city?
Museums and exploring new coffee shops, brunch and dinner spots.

What are your post-graduation plans?
Healthcare Investment banking at Bank of America in New York.

Outside of your current sport, which sport or activity do you feel like you would excel at the most?
Skiing and climbing.

Favorite Chicago restaurant?
Mott St.

Favorite place you've visited?
Australia.

Strangest thing you've ever eaten?
Scorpions.
