UChicago swimming teams open season with wins versus Wheaton

CHICAGO, Ill.  -- The University of Chicago men's and women's swim teams opened their seasons with dual meet victories over Wheaton College on Saturday. The men won 166-65 and the women won 192-47 over the course of 26 events.

Freshman Ciara Hu made an immediate impact in her collegiate debut by winning the 200-yard butterfly with an NCAA B cut time of 2:05.96, which also broke the record at the Myers-McLoraine Pool.

Sophomore Matt Staab won both diving events and his mark on the three-meter dive is an NCAA provision qualifying score.

Sophomore Andrew Angeles won the 200-yard breaststroke in an NCAA provision qualifying time of 2:06.45.
