CHICAGO, Ill. – The University of Chicago swimming and diving teams each earned team victories in a dual meet versus Wheaton College on Saturday.
The Maroons won the men's competition 162-64 with 11 event victories. Sophomore Jonas Fowler won two individual races – the 100-yard freestyle and 1,000-yard freestyle. Senior Andrew Angeles, senior Michael Charysh and sophomore Rolland Lee each won one individual race and one relay. Sophomore Jeremy Estes was part of both winning relays.
UChicago's women triumphed by a score of 136-101 with seven event wins. Junior Karen Chu was victorious in the two longest races of the day, which were the 500-yard freestyle and the 1,000-yard freestyle. Freshman Natalie DeMuro was a multiple winner after sweeping the one-meter and three-meter dives.
