CHICAGO – The University of Chicago divers posted several impressive performances at the University of Illinois-Chicago Diving Invitational on Saturday.
The Maroons faced off against a collection of NCAA Division I and Division III divers. The field averaged between 13 and 20 participants per event.
Freshman Anna Girlich was UChicago's top diver on the day. She finished runner-up on the women's three-meter board with a score of 254.15. Girlich also placed third in the one-meter dive at 247.60. Sophomore Monica Kieff placed 15th on both the one-meter (185.90) and three-meter (202.80) boards.
Dean Boures represented the Maroon men with a pair of seventh-place showings. The sophomore scored 242.75 in the one-meter dive and 201.65 in the three-meter dive.
