Maroon divers compete at day one at NCAA Regional

GRANVILLE, Ohio – The University of Chicago divers began the first day of the NCAA Diving Regional with a pair of top 11 performances on Friday. Denison University is serving as host for the two-day regional.

UChicago was represented by sophomore Natalie DeMuro and freshman Anna Girlich in the women's three-meter dive. DeMuro placed 10th out of the 24 competitors on the board with a final score of 405.00, while Girlich was right behind her in 11th with a score of 401.60. The winner of the event was Kenyon College's Maria Zarka (494.15).

The Maroons will next compete in the women's one-meter and the men's three-meter on Saturday afternoon.
