CHICAGO – Sophomore Agnes Lo led the way for the University of Chicago divers Saturday at a competitive Illinois-Chicago Diving Invitational held at Flames Natatorium.
Lo, who already owns the school record in both the 1-meter and 3-meter dives, put together two strong performances against divers from NCAA Division I competitors Illinois, UIC, Milwaukee, and Illinois State.
In the 3-meter event, she placed second with 253.45 points just behind UIC's Cyndey Liebenberg (295.45), and also placed in the Top 10 in the 1-meter dive with her fifth-place finish (260.65 points).
Maroons junior Anna Girlich placed 11th (221.80) and 12th (210.70), respectively, in the 1-meter and 3-meter event, and senior teammate Natalie DeMuro took 10th in the 3-meter (211.30) and 14th in the 1-meter (207.10).
On the men's side, first-year Joseph Zhao placed seventh in the 1-meter (248.05) and eighth in the 3-meter event (218.55) to round out UChicago's competitors.
