CHICAGO – The University of Chicago swimming and diving teams added five more event wins at the conclusion of the two-day Midwest Invitational on Saturday.
On the women's side, the Maroons took first of seven teams with 590 points. The UChicago men were fourth with 221 points, with Washington University – St. Louis on top at 605.5 points.
The UChicago women tallied five event victories on the day for a total of eight over the course of the meet. Junior Hannah Eastman was a double winner in the 200-yard butterfly and 200-yard freestyle. Sophomore Nicole Garcia was first in the 100-yard butterfly, first-year Eleanor Cambron won the 200-yard breaststroke and first-year Michelle Cho took the 400-yard IM. The Maroon men were led first-year Graham Lane's third-place showing in the 400-yard IM.
