CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. – Junior Agnes Lo led the field on Day 1 of the NCAA Division III Diving Regionals for the University of Chicago women's diving team Friday, capturing the 1-meter regional championship for the first time in her career.
Lo scored a field-best (out of 28) 444.20 points in the 1-meter diving championship, with an average score of 6.62 points. First-year teammate Elizabeth Cron wasn't far behind in the runner-up spot with 437.20 points.
All four Maroon competitors placed in the Top 10 – senior Anna Girlich was sixth (408.10) and first-year Alice Saparov ninth (393.95) in one of the best overall finishes in recent history for the Maroons.
Competition continues Saturday in the women's 3-meter regional championship at Wabash College.
