Antohi and Handa to Represent Women’s Tennis at NCAA Singles & Doubles Championship

NCAA Women's Tennis Individual Selections

CHICAGO – University of Chicago women's tennis players Marjorie Antohi and Claire Handa received invites on Wednesday to compete in the upcoming singles and doubles draws of the 2018 NCAA Division III Tennis Championships.

Claremont-Mudd-Scripps will serve as host at the Biszantz Family Tennis Center in Claremont, Calif. The individual championships will occur on May 24-26, after the conclusion of the team championship (May 21-23). The singles draw includes 32 players and the doubles field features 16 doubles teams.

Handa and Antohi will be participating both as singles players and as a doubles tandem. As a duo, they own an 11-7 dual meet record at the No. 1 position.

First-year Handa leads the team in singles victories with a 21-6 record. Antohi, a sophomore, is second on the team with a 19-6 mark.
