NEWPORT, R.I. – On the final day of the three-day Hall of Fame ITA Grass Court Invitational, the University of Chicago women's tennis team played four final singles matches on Sunday morning.

First-year Nicole Semenov had a dominant showing in her last match, taking down her opposition from Carnegie Mellon University with scores of 6-1, 6-1.

"The team had a wonderful weekend playing at the International Tennis Hall of Fame this weekend," said Head Coach Jay Tee. "It was an absolute honor to compete at the original home of American tennis and it's something the team and I will never forget. The grass surfaces were definitely a challenge, but it was a lot of fun to watch us problem solve and make adjustments in our games to be successful. While we won't play on grass next weekend, or ever, I think a lot of the lessons we learned will translate to the hardcourts at our regional championship in Kalamazoo."
