Antohi Advances to ITA Central Region Singles Final

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Junior Marjorie Antohi advanced to the finals of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Central Region Championships to lead the University of Chicago women's tennis team Sunday in Kalamazoo, Mich.

Antohi, the two-seed, defeated teammate Catherine Xu in the semifinals, 6-4, 6-3, to advance to face John Carroll's Lauren O'Malley in Monday's final.

O'Malley defeated Maroon sophomore Claire Handa – who topped teammate Annika Pandey, 6-1, 6-1, to get there –  in Sunday's semifinals, 6-1, 6-0.

In doubles play, the Maroons' duo of Eugenia Lee and Lauren Park reached the day's finals and took Case Western's duo of Jessica Liu and Madleine Paolucci to the brink, eventually falling by scores of 6-7 (1), 6-3, 10-6.
