ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. – The third-seed University of Chicago women's tennis team played well above their draw with a convincing 5-0 sweep over second-seed Brandeis in Friday's University Athletic Association Championship semifinals.

The win means the Maroons (14-4) will reach the UAA title match for the third-straight season, where UChicago will take on top-seeded and nationally-ranked No. 1 Emory (16-3), a 5-1 winner over Carnegie Mellon. That match is set for 8:30 a.m. ET in Altamonte Springs, Fla.

UChicago opened the match with three-straight wins in doubles, the final win a dramatic 8-7 decision for No. 3 players Lauren Park and Nicole Semenov.

It was fitting then, that Park won the first singles match, 6-0, 6-2, at No. 3. She was followed by fellow first-year Annika Pandey, who won in straight 6-1, 6-1, sets to defeat the Judges' Sophia He at No. 6 singles to clinch the victory.

Notable were the fact that three other Maroons had leads in their respective singles matches against the Judges (12-6): Catherine Xu at No. 2 (6-3, 3-2), Eugenia Lee at No. 4 (6-1, 4-3), and Semenov at No. 5 (6-1, 5-1).
