During her tenure at North Texas, McElroy coached multiple NCAA Division I qualifiers -- including an All-American triple jumper -- as well as 25 conference champions and 14 school record holders.

Prior to her arrival at North Texas, McElroy was an assistant coach at Western Illinois University (2000-01) and Southwest Texas State University (1999).
