Maroons women’s track and field places fourth at Chicagoland Championships

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – The University of Chicago women's track and field team finished in fourth place out of 17 teams at the Chicagoland Intercollegiate Indoor Championships on Friday.

Lewis University topped the field with 153.50 points. UChicago ended with 53 points.

The Maroons finished runner-up in three events on the evening. Senior Sarah Peluse finished only 0.79 seconds behind the winner in the 5,000 meters, while sophomore Brianna Hickey was less than two seconds back in the one mile. UChicago was also second in the 4x400-meter relay that was decided by only 0.44 seconds.
