Maroons track and field competes at Wisconsin-Stevens Point Last Chance Meet

STEVENS POINT, Wis. – In their final meet before indoor nationals, the University of Chicago track and field teams competed in four events at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Last Chance Meet on Saturday.

The Maroons sought to improve their marks to qualify additional athletes for the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships. UChicago freshman Michelle Dobbs earned a victory in the 800 meters and her time of 2:12.99 beat the second-place finisher by only 0.04 seconds. Sophomore Brianna Hickey was third in the one mile in 5:01.95. The 4x400 meters relay team of sophomore Alison Pildner, Dobbs, junior Francesca Tomasi and sophomore Mikaela Hammel sprinted to a fifth-place showing in 3:58.55. On the men's side, sophomore Michael Frasco was 12th in the one mile in 4:24.20.
