NAPERVILLE, Ill. – The University of Chicago track and field teams posted several more strong performances to wrap up the two-day North Central College Dr. Keeler Invite on Friday.
The Maroons had four performances in the top 10 on the women's side of the competition. The 4x400-meter relay team posted a winning time of 3:53.50, edging out the opposition by 0.45 seconds. Freshman Michelle Dobbs had a similarly close finish with a second-place showing in the 800 meters. Her time of 2:10.45 was only 0.32 seconds behind the winner. Additionally, sophomore Brianna Hickey was third in the 1,500 meters (4:32.43) and freshman Olivia Clink was sixth in the triple jump (10.87 meters).
UChicago's men had a trio of top 15 finishes on the day. Freshman Andrew Maneval heaved the shot put 13.82 meters to take 12th place. Sophomore Ryan Manzuk finished 13th in the 400-meter hurdles (55.56) and sophomore Jacob Romeo was 15th in the 100 meters (11.23).
