Maroon track and field perform at two-day NCC Dr. Keeler Invite

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – The University of Chicago track and field teams headed to the western suburbs to compete at the North Central College Dr. Keeler Invite on Thursday and Friday.

UChicago's women tallied a quartet of fourth-place showings. Junior Ade Ayoola and sophomore Alexandra Thompson both tied in the high jump with a top height of 1.64 meters. Freshman Isabel Garon cleared the bar in the pole vault at 3.67 meters. The 4x100-meter relay also took fourth in 47.66.

Senior Andrew Maneval also took fourth place with a toss of 15.59 meters in the men's shot put.

The 4x400-meter relays both put up seasonal-best times with 3:18.24 for the men and 3:51.88 for the women.

Junior Megan Verner-Crist earned a top-five finish with a time of 4:33.93 in the women's 1,500 meters.
