CHICAGO – The University of Chicago track & field teams will be represented by six athletes at the upcoming NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
The lists of accepted entries were released on Saturday morning. The three-day championship meet, hosted by University of Wisconsin - La Crosse, will run Thursday-Saturday, May 24-26.
Five UChicago women are set to participate. Senior Khia Kurtenbach leads the way after qualifying in the 5,000 meters and 10,000 meters. Over her career, she has qualified for NCAAs in eight events and is a five-time track All-American.
The high jump is chock full of Maroons with three women in the field – junior Alexandra Thompson, sophomore Laura Darcey and senior Ade Ayoola.
