ATLANTA, Ga. – Laura Darcey shattered the old outdoor high jump school record and teammate Nicole VacaGuzman claimed top honors in the 800 meters to give the University of Chicago women's track & field team two titles and help the Maroons earn a second-place finish on the Sunday's final day of the University Athletic Association Outdoor Championships.

Darcey's winning jump of 1.71 meters not only set a new school record – she topped three-way tie of 1.69 among former Maroons Ade Ayoola and Nelson Trotter, as well as teammate Alexander Thompson – she was just one hundredth of a meter off the UAA record of 1.72.

VacaGuzman won the 800 meters in a time of 2:10.66 to give UChicago its third individual title of the meet after Isabel Maletich's win in the long jump Saturday. In total, the Maroons earned 13 All-UAA finishes (Top 3) across both days.

Washington-St. Louis won the team title with 233.5 points. UChicago finished in the runner-up position with 156.5 points and host Emory was third with 149.

The 4x400 relay team of VacaGuzman, Meg Fitzpatrick, Tali Naibryf and Mary Martin took runner-up honors with their time of 3:50.92 and the Maroons earned four more third places: Martin in both the 100 (12.39) and 200 (25.54), Claire Brockway in the 5,000 (18:13.15), and Alexandra Thompson tied for third in the high jump with a mark of 1.59 meters.

Just missing all-UAA finishes but with notable fourth-place honors were Fitzpatrick (400), Maggie Boudreau (5,000), Maletich (triple jump), Ally Bennett (javelin) and the 4x100 relay team of Bennett, Martin, Tali Naibryf and Maletich.
