NEW YORK -- The 16th-ranked University of Chicago volleyball team (29-5, 7-3 UAA) rallied from a two-set deficit en route to a 18-25, 21-25, 25-12, 25-15, 15-11 win over Case Western Reserve University (22-10, 5-5 UAA) in the third-place match at the 2011 University Athletic Association Championship Saturday at New York University.
Senior outside hitter Colleen Belak (Louisville, Ky./ Presentation) led four Maroons in double-digit kills with 16, while fellow fourth-year outside hitter Isis Smalls (Humble, Texas/ Atascocita) hit 14.
Junior middle blocker Caroline Brander (River Forest, Ill./ Trinity) (pictured, right) finished with 11 kills and eight blocks. Sophomore outside hitter Morgan Clark (Purcellville, Va./ Loudon Valley) added 11 kills.
Sophomore setter Nikki DelZenero (Hinsdale, Ill./ Hinsdale Central) (pictured, left) totaled a career-high 60 assists.
Junior libero Samantha Brown (Louisville, Ky./ Mercy Academy) collected 31 digs.

Chicago matched its best UAA finish since a runner-up performance in 1992. The Maroons previously placed third in 1996 and 2009.
Chicago posted its highest winning percentage in UAA play (.700, 7-3) since 1993 (.750, 9-3)
Saturday's win marked the second time this season the Maroons overcame a two-set deficit.
Ranked third in the Midwest Region heading into this weekend's action, Chicago looks to be in contention for an at-large bid to the NCAA Division III tournament. The NCAA will announce the 2011 tournament bracket Monday afternoon.
