ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- The University of Chicago volleyball team wrapped up the University Athletic Association (UAA) Round Robin II on Sunday with a 3-1 loss to Carnegie Mellon University and a 3-0 win over Case Western Reserve University.
The No. 19-ranked Maroons are now 19-8 overall with a 6-1 UAA mark. UChicago also earned the No. 1 seed for the UAA Championship, which will take place November 8-9 at Brandeis University.
UChicago jumped out to a 1-0 lead against Carnegie Mellon with a 25-13 win in the first set. However, the Tartans came back with a narrow 25-23 win in set two and then took the third and fourth sets 25-15 and 25-21.

The Maroons rebounded quickly with a 3-0 sweep of Case Western Reserve to close out the weekend action. UChicago's winning scores were 25-23, 25-23, 25-16.
