Men's Cross Country Finishes Third At UAA Championship

HUNTING VALLEY, Ohio – University of Chicago men's cross country put all they learned over the course of the season to the test as they competed at the 2023 UAA Cross Country Championships. The Maroons improved on their results from last season while also claiming the individual championship and rookie of the year award during a third place finish.

TOP RUNNER
Jack Begley not only paced his Maroon teammates, he paced all runners by winning the UAA men's individual title at the UAA Cross Country Championships. Begley turned in an average mile pace of 5:02.7 on his way to a total time of 25:04.8 and a first-place finish by six seconds over the next closest runner.

WHAT'S NEXT
The Maroons will now prepare for the NCAA Midwest Regional that will take place on Saturday, November 11th in Waverly, Iowa at 11:00 am.
