Order of the "C"

Women's Athletic Association

The Undergraduate Order of the "C" is the body of varsity lettermen whose object is to support the cause of athletics at the University.

This association works together to "keep the memory of the University athletic life and ... shall perpetuate the athletic honor and traditions of our University."

The Women's Athletic Association, originally founded in 1904, evolved from an organization that promoted intramural opportunities to the letterwinner's organization for varsity women.

The purpose of the WAA is to "encourage close relationships between the women athletes of the University of Chicago in order that they may work together as a body to promote women's athletics."

Graduate Order of the "C"

The Graduate Order of the "C" is the alumni counterpart of the Order of the "C" that seeks to support varsity athletics and its student-athletes.

Graduate Women's Athletic Association

The Graduate Women's Athletic Association was founded to provide an opportunity for alumnae to connect with other athletes and to support the work of current Chicago athletes.
