KALAMAZOO, Mich. – While their teammates were taking care of business back at the home pool, the rest of the University of Chicago swim and dive teams traveled to Michigan to participate in the Kalamazoo Quad Meet. Each Maroons squad returned to Chicago with a plethora of individual race wins and two second place team finishes.

MEN'S TEAM RECAP
- The men's team earned a second-place finish with 927 total points. The Maroons had 13 individual race wins including four from their relay race teams.
- Robert Quan came away with two solo wins during the meet. Both victories came in freestyle events, one of 200 yards and one of 500. Quan was also a member of the 400-yard freestyle relay team that finished first along with Hudson Chung, Ryan Lobo, and Igor Benderskii.
- Jerry Zhou earned a few victories as well, one from the individual side and two with relay teams. The same could be said of Pierre Chan, though he came away with relay victories in the 200-yard freestyle, 200-yard medley, and 400-yard medley races.

WOMEN'S TEAM RECAP
- The women of UChicago swim and dive topped their counterparts on the men's team with 15 total victories but their 927-point total also dealt them a second-place finish when the meet was finished.
- NouNou Chang had a stellar meet with wins in the 100-yard butterfly and freestyles races while also bringing home wins in three different relay disciplines. Alicia Soosai almost matched her teammate as she took home victories in the 100- and 200-yard breaststroke but was only part of two relay race wins.
- While her diving partner Veronica Fong was earning wins at the D3 Shootout, Lilia Atanda was matching her performance in Kalamazoo. The freshman had impressive performances on her way to victory in both the 1-meter and 3-meter dives with point totals of 273.57 and 302.78 respectively. Her three meter point total being almost 30 points higher than the second place finisher.
