TOLEDO, OH- The University of Chicago Men's Tennis team traveled to Toledo, Ohio and opened their season at the annual Everybody vs Cancer Invitational hosted by the University of Toledo.

The Maroons took on teams from Marquette University, Case Western Reserve University, Tiffin University, University of Northwestern Ohio and University of Toledo. Over the course of the three day invitational, the Maroons tallied a overall record of 26-17 in singles & doubles matches.

Kane Kelley & Pat Otero had a strong weekend as a doubles team, winning all 5 matches they were paired together for. Emil Grantcharov (3-1) & Robert Zhang (4-1) were named to the All-Tournament Team.

Next weekend, the team will head to Kalamazoo, Michigan for the ITA Central Region Championships. Play starts on Friday and will continue through Sunday.
