HOW IT HAPPENED
- vs. No. 9 Denison
- No. 10 University of Chicago (4-0) opened their weekend when they met up with No. 9 Denison in Indianapolis. The Maroons were able to come away with two points in doubles action, including the team of Derek Hsieh and Robert Zhang taking down the No. 8 team in the country out of the top pairs spot.
- Up 2-1 heading into solo action, UChicago nabbed a trio of victories to grab the overall team win. Two of their three W's came against ranked opponents as Grantcharov took down the No. 19 player in the nation and Hsieh did the same thing against the 36th ranked student-athlete in D-III
- vs. DePauw
- It was a quick turnaround for the Maroons the next day, but the end result would make you think they got plenty of rest. UChicago was challenged in each of the doubles bouts they took on but came away with the victory in each to go up three points on DePauw (1-2).
- The clean sweep continued into singles action as the Maroons came away with all six points on that end of things as well. Chicago won most of the sets via 6-0 or 6-1 scores to help close out the weekend with their perfect record still intact.
WHO'S ON DECK
