Cross Country Dominates in First Meet of the Year

CHANNAHON, Ill. - The University of Chicago men's and women's cross-country team started off the season strong at the USF Twilight Invitational. Going up against 12 other teams the Maroons managed to capture the overall victories for both the men's and women's teams. The No.2 UChicago women took eight of the top ten finishes as the men placed seven on the top ten.  As the season opens, the Maroons seem to be striding towards the right direction.

TEAM RESULTS
Men - 1st out of 12 teams (18 total points)
Women- 1st out of 12 teams (21 total points)

TOP RUNNERS
Leading the top for the Maroons was John List and Nora Holmes.  List, a senior for the Maroons, crossed the line with a time of 15.29.4 which was almost a full five seconds before the next finisher. Holmes finished at 18:18.2. The junior finished two seconds ahead of second place.

OTHER TEAM SCORERS WHAT'S NEXT
The Maroons will now gear up for the Gil Dodds Invitational and the John McNichols Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 21. Both meets will begin at 9:00 AM.
