RESULTS
CHICAGO -- The 4th-ranked University of Chicago men's swimming and diving team picked up a 191-94 win over the Lewis University Flyers on Friday night.
The Maroons recorded 24 top-two finishes in the meet with 10 event wins en route to the dual meet victory.
John Butler led UChicago with three event wins during the meet. Butler won both the 200 Freestyle and 200 Backstroke, and he added a relay victory in the 200 Freestyle Relay.
Danyal Ghadiali swept the diving event titles for the Maroons with a score of 219.60 in the 1-meter event and a score of 226.73 in the 3-meter event.
Ethan Taylor also won multiple events for UChicago in his collegiate debut. Taylor swept the breaststroke event titles with times of 56.71 and 2:05.39 in the 100-yard and 200-yard events.
With the win, the Maroons improve to 1-0 on the season and extend their win streak over Lewis to seven consecutive meets. The team returns to action on Saturday, October 25, as they host Illinois Tech and Wheaton (IL) in a tri-meet at 1 PM.
