RESULTS
CHICAGO -- The eighth-ranked University of Chicago women's swimming and diving team picked up a 221-72 win over the Lewis University Flyers on Friday night.
The Maroons won 15 of 16 events in the meet with the lone defeat coming in the 1000 Freestyle.
Sophie Lee and
Genesee Quon led UChicago with three event wins during the meet. Lee won the 100 Freestyle with a time of 52.87, and Quon won the 50 Freestyle with a time of 24.28. Lee and Quon also joined forces to bring home both relay titles in the meet.
Sumiye Allen swept the diving event titles for the Maroons with a score of 251.55 in the 1-meter event and a score of 231.15 in the 3-meter event.
Two UChicago freshmen were the lone athletes to win multiple individual events during the meet.
Alexandra Milisavljevic won both the 200 Butterfly and 500 Freestyle, and
Kylie Stuart won both of the breaststroke events on the day.
With the win, the Maroons improve to 1-0 on the season. The team returns to action on Saturday, October 25, as they host Illinois Tech and Wheaton (IL) in a tri-meet at 1 PM.
