RESULTS
CHICAGO -- The fourth-ranked University of Chicago men's swimming and diving team picked up its fourth dual-meet win of the season on Saturday as the team took down #10 WashU 163-131.
The Maroons recorded 20 top-two finishes in the meet with 12 event wins en route to the dual meet victory over the Bears.
John Butler and
Cooper Costello set the pace for the Maroons with each swimmer winning all four of his events. Butler continued his impressive start to the season by winning the 200 Free and 200 Back, and Costello swept the butterfly events. The duo also combined for both relay titles in the 200 Medley Relay and 200 Free Relay.
Ethan Taylor was the only other UChicago swimmer to win multiple events in the meet as he swept the breaststroke events for the Maroons.
Misha Kojanov recorded the final individual event title with a first-place finish in the 100 Back.
The Maroons also swept both diving events with
Danyal Ghadiali winning the 1-meter competition with a score of 221.75 and
Zachary Berg winning the 3-meter competition with a score of 227.80.
With the win, the Maroons improve to 4-0 on the season and extend their dual meet win streak against non-Division I programs to 32 straight meets, dating back to 2019. The team returns to action on November 7-8, as the team hosts the D3 Shootout at the Myers-McLoraine Pool.
