#12 Women's Cross Country Ready to Race at 15th Straight National Meet

CHICAGO -- The 12th-ranked University of Chicago women's cross country team will travel to Spartanburg, South Carolina for the 2025 NCAA Division III National Championships. The Maroons are coming off a third-place finish at the UAA Championships and a second-place finish at the Midwest Regional entering the national meet.

#12 UNIVERSITY OF CHICAGO NOTES:

* The University of Chicago women's cross country team is coming off a third-place finish at the UAA Championships and a second-place finish in the Midwest Regional.
Katja Dunayevich broke the UChicago freshman record with a time of 21:24.4 in her first year at the conference championships. Her time earned her a sixth-place finish and All-UAA First Team honors. 
* Six Maroons tallied All-Region honors, including Dunayevich, Estelle Snider, Maggie Horn, Nora Holmes, Eva Devlin, and Vivian Kelly.
* UChicago currently sits at #2 in the Midwest Region and #12 in NCAA Division III in the USTFCCCA poll.
* The Maroons are looking to bring home an individual All-American for the 15th consecutive year after tallying four All-Americans in 2024. Estelle Snider enters the meet as the lone athlete to previously earn All-American honors after placing 37th last season.
* UChicago will look to bring home its fourth consecutive top-three finish in the NCAA Division III Championships after placing 2nd in 2022 and 2024 and 3rd in 2023. The Maroons are still looking for their first-ever National Championship in program history.
