CHICAGO -- The 7th-ranked University of Chicago women's swimming and diving team sits in second place after narrowly edging WashU for a top-two spot on the opening day of the Phoenix Fall Classic.
Alexandra Milisavljevic made a statement n the opening individual event of the Phoenix Fall Classic on Friday night as the freshman brought home the top individual finish and broke the UChicago school record with a time of 4:56.74 in the 500 Freestyle.
Fellow freshman
Sophia Xu joined Milisavljevic with a record book performance as Xu placed fourth in the 50 Freestyle with a time of 23.47 which ranks second in program history.
The top overall finish for the Maroons came in the two relay events of the opening night as the Maroons placed second in both the 200 Free Relay and 400 Medley Relay. The team of

The Maroons will return to the pool on Saturday morning at 10 AM CT for day 2 prelims at the Myers-McLoraine Pool.
