Imran Serifovic earned 2nd-Team All-American honors for the University of Chicago men's track and field team on Saturday at the NCAA Division III National Championships.
Serifovic picked up a 15th-place finish in his first-ever National Championship appearance on Saturday. The freshman easily cleared the opening height of 6' 4.75", and he successfully cleared the height of 6' 6.75" on his second jump to clinch his second-team All-American honors.Â
The Milton, Massachusetts native is the 19th All-American in UChicago men's track and field history and the first since
Simon Dixon finished in 3rd place in the Shot Put in 2023. He is also just the second jumper to earn All-American honors for UChicago, joining Adeoye Mabogunje in the Triple Jump in 2003.
The University of Chicago men's track and field team will return to action for their outdoor season on the weekend of March 28-29 as they compete in the WashU Distance Carnival and the WashU Invitational.
