CHICAGO, Ill. -- The University of Chicago women's tennis team continues their swing through Texas as they battle #10 Trinity (TX) in the shadows of the Alamo.

#1 UNIVERSITY OF CHICAGO NOTES:

* UChicago enters the week with a 9-1 record overall this season.
* The Maroons are coming off an ITA Indoor Nationals title two weeks ago as they took down #18 Sewanee (7-0), #5 Emory (5-2), and #2 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (4-1) during the tournament.
* Sylwia Mikos and Oliwia Mikos have dominated on the court for the Maroons this seaosn in both singles and doubles.
* Erica Ekstrand and Clara Zou have also been great additions to the court for the defending national champions.
* Following this week, UChicago will return to their home courts for their first outdoor home match of the season. The Maroons will host the UC-Santa Cruz Banana Slugs at 3 PM CT on Tuesday afternoon.

#10 TRINITY (TX) NOTES:

* Trinity (TX) sits at 14-1 on the season, and the Tigers are 10-0 since February 8 with wins over six ranked teams in that span.
* The Tigers have taken down #7 Johns Hopkins, #12 MIT, #17 Christopher Newport, #21 Bowdoin, and #23 Gustavus Adolphus so far this season.
* Trinity Levy leads the team with 13 singles wins on the season with just one defeat. Ruth Hill has also been lights out in doubles play with a team-best 10-1 record overall.
* Ruth Hill and Rosabella Andrade have also added 11 wins for the Tigers.
Folowing this match, the Tigers will host Stevens and #14 Tufts on their home courts this weekend.

SERIES HISTORY:

* UChicago is 5-0 all-time against Trinity (TX) including a 9-0 victory last season.
* The Tigers battled the Maroons to a narrow 5-4 decision in 2024, but they were unable to pull off the win.
