ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- The University of Chicago women's track team had five individuals compete in the WashU Distance Carnival on Thursday and Friday to open their 2025 outdoor season.
Anna Watson delivered the top performance for the Maroons in the Distance Carnival as she finished in 14th place in the 5000m Run with a time of 16:56.62. Her time ranks as the 10th-fastest time in UChicago history and was the third fastest amongst all Division III runners in the meet.
Nora Holmes joined Watson in the 5000m Run as she finished in 26th place with a time of 17:06.07.
Emma Kelly and
Elisabeth Camic represented the University of Chicago in the 1500m Run part of the meet as they both brought home top-25 finishes. Kelly recorded a 15th-place finish with a time of 4:36.22, just 0.02 seconds off of her career best, and Camic added a 24th-place finish with a time of 4:38.74.
Estelle Snider was the lone 10000m run competitor for the Maroons as she brought home an 18th-place finish in the event. Her time of 35:41.70 ranked as the sixth-best amongst all Division III runners in the event.
The full University of Chicago women's track and field team will return to action on Saturday, March 29, as they compete in the WashU Invitational to open their outdoor season.
