Offensive Explosion by UChicago

The Maroons came out swinging early, scoring twice in the top of the first inning. Michael Gladden led the charge with a double to left field, driving in Braden Jirovec for the first run of the game. Jirovec then added another RBI by grounding out to second, scoring Gladden. The offense kept rolling in the third, exploding for six runs. In the fifth, UChicago tacked on two more runs with Gladden and Rindner each driving in one. They then scored three more in the sixth, including an RBI single from Jack Sharp and another from Jirovec, putting the game out of reach at 12-2. Finally, in the seventh, Brady Miller drove in the final run of the game with a single to left-center.
