Men's Track & Field Grabs 14 Top-3 Finishes at WashU and Millikin

ST. LOUIS, Mo. and DECATUR, Ill. -- The University of Chicago brought home a fourth-place finish from the WashU Invitational and had their throwers compete at Millikin on Saturday afternoon. At WashU, the Maroons added a pair of event wins, 8 top-3 finishes, and five marks that rank top-10 in school history. At Millikin, the University of Chicago brought home three event wins overall.

Imran Serifovic and Aryan Shrivastava tied for the top height in the High Jump event with a mark of 6' 6.25" which ranks 3rd all-time in UChicago history, but Serifovic took the top spot by tiebreaker. Shrivastava also added a second-place finish in the Triple Jump with a mark of 44' 6.75".

Oluwaseyi Kadiri added the other event win for the Maroons as he took the Triple Jump title with the 8th-best mark in UChicago history at 45' 9". Kadiri also added a second-place finish in the Javelin Throw with a mark of 172' 11".

William Floyd found his way into the record book for UChicago as he jumped 16' 0.75" for the third-best mark in school history. Brandon Shin also added a top-10 mark in the Pole Vault event with the sixth-best mark in school history with a mark of 14' 7.25".

At Millikin, the University of Chicago won three different throwing events. Simon Dixon won the Shot Put with a mark of 53' 9.75", Ryan Anderson won the Javelin Throw with a mark of 160' 7", and Allen Jiang picked up the win in the Hammer Throw with a mark of 152' 9".

Following the WashU Invitational and the Big Blue Alumni Invite, the Maroons will return to action on April 4 and 5 as they travel to Elmhurst for the Chicagoland Championships.
