CHICAGO, Ill. -- The University of Chicago women's tennis team returns to their home courts for the first time since February 22 as they host Holy Cross on Friday at 6 PM CT at the XS Tennis Center and WashU on Saturday at 1 PM CT at the Stagg Tennis Courts.
#1 UNIVERSITY OF CHICAGO NOTES:
* UChicago enters the weekend with a 14-1 record overall this season.
* The Maroons have won 9 straight matches, and their only loss this season came to Toledo, a Division I opponent, with a 5-2 loss on February 22.
* UChicago won the ITA Indoor National Championships earlier this spring with wins over #18 Sewanee (7-0), #5 Emory (5-2), and #2 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (4-1).
* The Maroons took down #3 Emory in Atlanta for eighth top-25 win of the season. The win in Atlanta was the first home loss for Emory since 2013.

Sylwia Mikos and
Erica Ekstrand come in as the #3 and #4 singles players in the Central Region in the latest rankings.
Sarena Biria also enters the rankings at #14.
* Ekstrand has dominated at the top of the lineup with a 16-4 singles record, and she is on a six-match winning streak, the longest on the team.

Clara Zou has also been a dominating force at the bottom of the lineup for the Maroons with a 20-2 singles record this season.
* In doubles play,
Sylwia Mikos and
Oliwia Mikos have dominated at the #1 spot with a 16-7 record as partners. The duo is the #1 ranked doubles team in the Central Region this season.
* The doubles duo of
Shianna Guo and
Lauren Khou also comes in ranked in the region as the #8 doubles team in the Central Region.

Charlotte Klein is the lone other Maroon with double-digit doubles wins with a 13-5 record overall and a 9-2 record at #3 doubles.
* Following this weekend, UChicago will return to action on Saturday, April 19, as they host UW-Whitewater in their regular season finale.
HOLY CROSS (IN) NOTES:
* Holy Cross comes in at 6-4 overall this season and 3-0 in conference play.
* The Saints have won three straight matches over St. Francis (IL), Judson (IL), and Olivet Nazarene (IL).
* Holy Cross fell 7-0 earlier this season at UChicago. The #2 doubles team of Sodfia Rocha and Nicole Martinez competed in a tough match but fell 6-4.
* In singles play, Leah Gonzales-Edwards took her #4 singles match into a pair of set-deciding tiebreakers, but she eventually fell 7-6(7-2), 7-6(7-4).
* The Saints will return to conference play on Monday as they travel to Davenport, Iowa to take on St. Ambrose.
WASHU NOTES:
* WashU sits at 8-5 on the season following their 4-3 loss to #3 Emory.
* The Bears have played five consecutive matches over ranked opponets with wins over #6 Carnegie Mellon, #23 Gustavus Adolphus, and #33 Skidmore and losses to #3 Emory and #21 Bowdoin.
* Prior to their match with the Maroons, WashU will take on North Central (IL) on Friday night in the first match of their Chicago weekend.
* Ally Lin leads WashU with 13 singles wins this season, and Eliana Hanna has added 12 singles wins for the Bears.
* In doubles play, the #1 doubles team of Eleanor Archer and Caitlin Bui has been excellent with a 15-4 record overall. The duo is ranked as the #4 doubles team in the Central Region.
* Bui is the #1 ranked singles player in the Central Region, and Archer comes in at #6 in the region. Hanna also comes in ranked in the Central Region at #18.
* The Bears will return to action next weekend as they host their final two regular season matches of the year with Trinity (TX) and Grinnell making their way to St. Louis.
SERIES HISTORY:
* UChicago has never lost to Holy Cross with a 5-0 all-time record against the Saints, including a 7-0 win earlier this season.
* The Maroons have lost just 2 individual matches in the all-time series history with Holy Cross.
* UChicago leads the all-time series 23-2 with WashU including a 23-2 overall record against the Bears.
* The lone wins in the series history for WashU since 2007 came in the 2007-08 season when WashU picked up 6-3 and 5-3 victories.
