CHICAGO, Ill. -- The University of Chicago men's track and field team returns to action this week as they take part in a weekend doubleheader at UW-Platteville on Friday and Wheaton (IL) on Saturday. * The University of Chicago men's track and field team has put up some impressive performances so far in the outdsoor season at WashU, Millikin, and Elmhurst.
* The Maroons won their first UAA Indoor Championship title since 2008 and just the third UAA Indoor title in program history during the indoor season.
* UChicago is currently ranked 42nd in NCAA Division III, 5th in the Midwest Region, and 4th in the UAA by the USTFCCCA.
* The Maroons currently have 9 athletes ranked in the top-2 of the UAA, 9 athletes ranked in the top-5 of the Midwest Region, and 6 athletes ranked in the top-25 of the NCAA Division III.
* Simon Dixon is ranked 8th in NCAA Division III, 2nd in the Midwest Region, and 1st in the UAA in the Shot Put with a mark of 16.40 meters.
* Dixon is also ranked 2nd in the UAA in the Discus Throw with a mark of 142' 1".
* William Floyd is ranked 8th in NCAA Division III, 5th in the Midwest Region, and 4th in the UAA in the Pole Vault with a mark of 4.90 meters. This mark is currently ranked 3rd all-time in school history.
* Andrew Ray is ranked 14th in NCAA Division III, 2nd in the Midwest Region, and 1st in the UAA in the 400m Hurdles with a time of 54.27.
* The 4x400m Relay team of Benjamin Showman, Isaac Dienstag, Owen Mays, and Ray is ranked 3rd in the Midwest Region and 3rd in the UAA with a time of 3:22.27.
* Imran Serifovic is ranked 23rd in NCAA Division III, 5th in the Midwest Region, and 1st in the UAA in the High Jump with a mark of 1.99 meters. This mark is currently ranked 3rd all-time in school history.
* Aryan Shrivastava is ranked 23rd in NCAA Division III, 5th in the Midwest Region, and 1st in the UAA in the High Jump with a mark of 1.99 meters. This mark is currently ranked 3rd all-time in school history.
* Oluwaseyi Kadiri is ranked 24th in NCAA Division III, 5th in the Midwest Region, and 2nd in the UAA in the Triple Jump with a mark of 13.94 meters.
* Kadiri is also ranked 4th in the Midwest Region and 2nd in the UAA in the Javelin Throw with a mark of 52.72 meters.
* Quint Stein is ranked 4th in the Midwest Region and _ in the UAA in the 800m Run with a time of 1:53.87.
* Sanju Patel is ranked 2nd in the UAA in the 10,000m Run with a time of 30:45.18. This time is currently ranked 7th all-time in school history.
* Allen Jiang is ranked 2nd in the UAA in the Hammer Throw with a mark of 46.56 meters.
