CHICAGO, Ill. -- The University of Chicago softball team will head to Cleveland, Ohio to face #13 Case Western Reserve for another conference series this weekend. With games starting on Friday at 4 PM ET, the Maroons look to keep up the momentum after taking down #18 Emory in two of the three games last weekend.

UNIVERSITY OF CHICAGO NOTES:

* The Maroons come into the series with a 14-13 record on the year.
* UChicago earned their first top-25 wins of the season last weekend as they took down #18 Emory in two of the three games.
* Paige Heffke has been huge for the Maroons on the mound. In 111 innings pitched, the senior has collected 92 strikeouts. 
* This season, Heffke leads the team with 10 wins and a 2.33 ERA. 
* Natalie Antin moved up to the top in hitting average for the Maroons this week. With a .358 through her 81 at bats, she has collected 29 hits, 8 runs, and 16 RBIs. 
* Sedona Ding is another player to watch for UChicago. The freshman has put on an impressive start to her collegiate career, starting and playing in all 27 games so far. In 78 at bats, she's recorded 24 hits, a double, one RBI and 22 runs. 
* Alana Kimball has also been another solid pitcher for Chicago. In 40.1 inning pitched, she's collected 11 strikeouts while only allowing 55 hits.
* Laila Sims recorded her 73 stolen base in Chicago's win over North Park. She now holds the All-Time Career Record in UChicago softball history. 
* The Maroons will head UW-Whitewater for a midweek doubleheader on Wednesday after their weekend in Cleveland. 

#13 CASE WESTERN RESERVE NOTES:

* Case Western enters the Top 25 poll this week at the #13 spot with a 19-8 record. 
* Most recentlly, the Spartans swept NYU, outscoring the Violets 21-1 in the three games.
* Case Western Reserve holds a 7-5 record over Top 25 teams this year, including knocking off top ranked #1 East Texas Baptist through their first week of play. 
* Grad student KaiLi Gross leads the team with a .467 batting average through her 90 at bats. She hass collected 42 hits, 34 runs, 27 RBIs, and hold an on base percentage of 52.5%. 
* On the pitching side, Lexi Miskey comes into the games with a 2.28 ERA in her 21 appearances. She hass tallied 99 strikeouts and only allowed 67 hits. 
* Following their games at UChicago, the Spartans will head to Brandeis for their next UAA series. 

SERIES HISTORY:

* The last time these two teams met, the Spartans took the 8-4 win.  
* CWRU holds the upperhand with a 11-9 record in the series history. 
* In the first game of last year's doubleheader matchup, Paige Heffke struckout four while only allowing seven hits.
