CHICAGO, Ill. -- The University of Chicago men's tennis team returns to their home courts on Saturday for their regular season finale against #26Â UW-Whitewater. The match will take place at 4 PM at the XS Tennis Center.
#4 UNIVERSITY OF CHICAGO NOTES:
* UChicago comes in with a 18-2 record overall this season following a perfect 3-0 weekend with wins over #24 WashU, Grinnell, and Holy Cross.
* The Maroons have added wins over #22 Carnegie Mellon and #34 Gustavus Adolphus on their five-match winning streak.
* UChicago comes in at 10-2 in matches over top-35 teams this season with both losses coming to #1 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps.

Michael Choi leads the Maroons in singles play this season with a 21-3 record overall and a 15-1 record in dual matches to take the #19 spot in the Central Region singles rankings.

Alexander Ekstrand has added 19 wins, and
Ajer Sher has added 15 wins as well for UChicago. Ekstrand is ranked as the #6 player in the Central Region.
* In doubles play,
Derek Hsieh has played lights out with a 22-6 record to lead the Maroons. Hsieh enters the weekend as the #14 singles player in the Central Region.

Andrei Leonov and
Pat Otero have played well in doubles play this season and enter the weekend ranked as the #4 doubles team in the Central Region.
* Following this weekend, the Maroons will travel to Altamonte Springs, Florida for the UAA Championships from April 25-27.
#26 UW-WHITEWATER NOTES:
* #26 UW-Whitewater comes in at 13-4 on the season and 2-0 in WIAC play this season.
* The Warhawks have won three consecutive matches with a pair of 7-0 wins over UW-Eau Claire and UW-Stevens Point as well as a 4-3 win over Coe.
* Before traveling to Chicago, UW-Whitewater will take a trip to UW-La Crosse on Friday night for another WIAC match.
* Following their match with UChicago, UW-Whitewater will return to their home courts to battle Kalamazoo in their final regular season match of the season.
SERIES HISTORY:
* UChicago leads the all-time series 9-3 over Wisconsin-Whitewater.
* The Maroons have won five consecutive matches over the Warhawks, including a 9-0 win last season in the first meeting between the two squads since 2018.
* The last win for UW-Whitewater came back in 2014 with a narrow 5-4 victory.
