Ray and Dixon Earn 2nd-Team All-American Honors; Shrivastava to Compete on Saturday

GENEVA, Ohio -- The University of Chicago men's track and field team capped off the National Championships with a trio of All-American performances by Andrew RaySimon Dixon, and Aryan Shrivastava.

Andrew Ray ran a time of 53.39 seconds in the 400m Hurdles, bringing home a 12th-place finish in the meet and narrowly missing qualifiying for the finals by just 0.46 seconds. His finish does earn the first career All-American award for the 7-time UAA Champion.

Simon Dixon led the Maroons on the second day of competition with a 14th-place finish in the Shot Put to earn 2nd-Team All-American honors with a mark of 16.59 meters. The 3-time All-American has now earned All-American honors in all three of his National Championship appearances, taking 3rd in the 2023 Indoor Shot and 5th in the 2023 Outdoor Shot Put.

In the final day of the meet, Aryan Shrivastava brought home the lone 1st-Team All-American performance of the Championships for UChicago as he finished in 7th place with a mark of 15.03 meters. His mark of 49' 3.75" ranks as the third-best in program history.
