Box Score CLAREMONT, Calif. -- The University of Chicago women's tennis team had their season come to an end on Saturday afternoon with losses in the Individual National Championships.

Erica Ekstrand was the lone UChicago player to pick up a win in the individual portion of the tournament with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Kelsey Dorr from St. Catherine in the opening round. However, Ekstrand's career came to an end with a 6-4, 7-5 loss to Eleni Lazaridou from Kenyon in the Round of 16.

Sylwia Mikos took on Jay Xiao from Johns Hopkins in the opening round of the singles tournament, but she fell short with a 7-5, 6-3 loss. Meanwhile, in the doubles tournament, Mikos teamed up with her sister Oliwia Mikos, but the doubles team faltered in the opening round with a 6-2, 6-1 loss to the #3 overall seed from Babson.

The losses cap off an excellent season for the Maroons with a 22-2 record as a team and an appearance in the NCAA Quarterfinals.
