The University of Chicago Athletics Hall of Fame was established in October 2000 to honor individuals who have made significant contributions to the University's legacy in intercollegiate athletics. This includes student-athletes who excelled in competition as well as those who played key roles in the growth and success of UChicago athletics. Since its founding, the Hall has recognized more than 150 distinguished inductees.
To be considered for induction, student-athletes must have represented the University in intercollegiate competition and completed their athletic careers at least 10 years prior. Coaches and administrators are eligible for selection five years after concluding their service in those roles.
