Box Score TOLEDO, Ohio -- The University of Chicago men's tennis team continued the first tournament of the 2025-26 season at Toledo University with several great performances in both singles and doubles.

To open the second day of doubles, Juan Kim and Heyang Li pulled off the win over Division I Youngstown State with a 7-5 victory, and Matthew Liew and Ajer Sher added a 7-6(7-3) win over Holy Cross.

In singles play, Shrikeshav Murugesan remained unbeaten with a straight-set win over Youngstown State and a win in a three-set thriller against Holy Cross to move to 3-0 in the invite.

Christian Liew also moved to 3-0 in singles on the weekend with a pair of wins over Division I opponents. Liew took down Toledo (7-6(7-4), 7-6(7-3) before getting a walkover victory over Youngstown State in walkover fashion.

Albert Mackey rounded out the three players with a perfect 3-0 record on the season as he took down Wayne State (6-1, 6-2) and Tiffin (6-0, 6-3) in dominating fashion on Saturday.

Juan Kim, Timothy Nguyen, Ajer Sher, and Jack Wong all added a singles win with a 1-1 record on the day.

The Maroons will return to the courts on Sunday in Toledo as they wrap up the season-opening invitational.
