CHICAGO -- The sixth-ranked University of Chicago women's swimming and diving team fell short in a dual meet with #21 Northwestern on Saturday morning.

Sophia Xu led the Maroons with the lone B Cut time of the day in the 50 Freestyle as the freshman finished in third place with a time of 23.43.

Two more freshman recorded top-3 times in distance events in the meet. Alexandra Milisavljevic finished third in the 500 Freestyle with a time of 5:06.88, and Emma Osborne added a third-place finish in the 1000 Freestyle with a time of 10:47.78.

With the loss, the Maroons fall to 4-1 on the season. The team returns to action on Friday, January 16, as the team hosts the UIC Flames at the Myers-McLoraine Pool.
