CHICAGO -- University of Chicago junior Lilia Atanda was tabbed as the UAA Women's Diver of the Week, as announced by the University Athletic Association on Monday afternoon.

Atanda had one of the best diving weekends of her career this weekend as the junior won three of the four diving events in wins over UIC and Calvin. The junior data science major tallied a B-Cut score in all four of her events this weekend to earn her spot in the Diving Regionals.

In the win over UIC, she scored 277.88 in the 1-meter and a career-best 280.13 in the 3-meter to win both events against the DI foe. Then, on Saturday, the Olney, Maryland native scored a 263.48 in the 1-meter and a 269.03 in the 3-meter.

The Athlete of the Week award for Atanda is the fourth of her career and the second of the season for the junior.

Atanda and the rest of the UChicago women's swimming & diving team will break for the holidays before returning to action on January 31 as the Maroons hit the road for just the second time this season for their final UAA tune-up at Hope College.
