CHICAGO -- The 4th-ranked University of Chicago men's swimming and diving team returns to action on Saturday afternoon as the Maroons travel to Holland, Michigan for their final pre-UAA tune-up.

#4 UNIVERSITY OF CHICAGO NOTES:

* #4 UChicago enters the weekend with a 6-1 record in dual meets after taking down #10 WashU, #10 Calvin, #25 Lewis (DII), UIC (DI), Illinois Tech, and Wheaton (IL). The lone loss this year came to #25 Northwestern (DI).
* The Maroons won the D3 Shootout taking down #10 WashU, #14 Hope, #19 Pomona-Pitzer, and #20 Swarthmore.in their 4th meet of the year.
* Cooper Costello has tallied a team-high 5 B Cuts this season, and he is ranked #1 in NCAA Division III in both the 100 Fly and 200 Fly.
* John Butler has recorded three B Cuts in the sprint freestyle events this season. Butler ranks 2nd in NCAA DIII in the 200 Free, 3rd in the 100 Free, and 6th in the 50 Free.
* Alex Schwartz sits in the top-7 in multiple events for the Maroons, ranking 4th in the 400 IM and 7th in the 500 Free.
* Freshman Misha Kojanov ranks top-10 in the nation in multiple events, including 7th in the 200 Back and 10th in the 200 Free.
* Fellow freshman Ethan Taylor is the final Maroon with multiple B Cuts this season. Taylor is ranked 6th in the 200 Breast and 10th in the 100 Breast this season.
* David Gutin ranks 3rd in the UAA and 6th in NCAA Division III in the 200 Back with a time of 1:46.95.
* Christopher Mo rounds out the UChicago B Cuts with a time of 15:45.97 in the 1650 Free. His time ranks 5th in the UAA and 13th in NCAA Division III.
* After traveling to #10 Hope, the Maroons will return to their home pool in two weeks for the UAA Championships from February 11-14.

#20 HOPE NOTES:

* #20 Hope is coming off a 2nd-place finish at the MIAA Invite last weekend, finishing just 59 points behind Calvin.
* Graham Eisenmann is the lone Flying Dutchman to rank in the top-16 in the country in the 100 Fly with a time of 48.54.
* Luke Newcomb ranks #17 in NCAA Division III in the 100 Breast with a time of 54.87.
* Everett Cox ranks #19 in NCAA Division III in the 200 Free with a time of 1:38.94.
* The Hope 200 Free Relay team ranks #10 in NCAA Division III this season with a time of 1:21.06.
* Following their meet with UChicago, the Flying Dutch will return to the road for their final pre-UAA tune-up next Friday as Hope battles their in-state rivals, Calvin.

SERIES HISTORY:

* The Maroons are 3-0 all-time against Hope College.
* UChicago took down the Flying Dutchmen 193.5-101.5 last season.
* In the last meeting in Holland, the Maroons defeated Hope 189-93.
