Are you looking for a great way to get fit or an alternate way to train? Perhaps you're looking to compete in your first triathlon or train for on open water or USMS swim meet. Our Masters team has a large selection of practice times and offers coaching expertise that fits to each person's goals. Practices are coached to push each individual, and are specific to your speed.Â
Our current requirements to join are that you are able to swim for 45 minutes comfortably (mainly freestyle but can also mix in other strokes), stopping for breaks of no longer than 1-2 minutes and being about to complete 1500 yards in that amount of time. Our practices are 1 hour in length, and we typically have four different groups (~1800 yards/2:30 per 100 avg, ~2400 yards/2:00 per 100 avg, ~3000 yards/1:35 per 100 avg, and ~3800 yards/1:20 per 100 avg). Each practice is different, but all have an aerobic and fitness emphasis, even if it is a speed session. You also should be comfortable swimming with other people in your lane, including circle swimming with more than 3 in your lane.
