Matt Brisotti enters his third year as the Head Men's Tennis Coach and Assistant Women's Tennis Coach at the University of Chicago in the 2025-26 academic year.
In 2024, Brisotti guided UChicago to its first-ever NCAA Team National Championship and a UAA Championship, earning UAA Coach of the Year honors. His players have also garnered major individual accolades, including UAA Player of the Year Emil Grantcharov, and a total of four All-America honors that season. In 2025, the Maroons continued their national prominence with a runner-up finish at the ITA Indoor Nationals, an NCAA quarterfinal appearance, and an impressive six All-America selections, including doubles teams Emil Grantcharov/Derek Hsieh and Pat Otero/Andrei Leonov, along with singles honorees Emil Grantcharov and Alexander Ekstrand.
Before arriving in Hyde Park, Brisotti coached at Caltech in 2022–2023 where he helped elevate the program to unprecedented heights. Under his leadership, Caltech reached a program-best #11 national ranking, finished second in the SCIAC for the first time, and closed the season ranked #13 nationally.
From 2018 to 2021, Brisotti revitalized the men’s tennis program at Hamilton College, turning around a team that had not won a conference match in five years. During his tenure, the Continentals produced the program's first-ever All-American and NCAA Singles Qualifier, while posting a .500 record in NESCAC play.
Brisotti began his coaching career at his alma mater, Drew University from 2014 to 2017, where he rebuilt both the men’s and women’s programs, leading both to Conference Player of the Year and Coach of the Year honors in 2017.
Off the court, Brisotti’s programs have consistently excelled academically. Every team he has coached has earned ITA All-Academic Team honors, and numerous players have achieved Academic All-America recognition.
Brisotti earned his undergraduate degree in sociology from Drew University in 2012 where he was a student-athlete. He later completed a Master’s degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University Irvine.
